Ginger Pear Crisp

chilled butter
cut into 1/2 in. cubes

old-fashioned oats

coarsely chopped whole raw almonds

Aloha From Oregon Crystallized Ginger
Filling

sugar

cornstarch

fine sea salt
1/2
tsp
ground cinnamon

firm but ripe pears
6-7 large, peeled cored, cut into 1/2 in. cubes (about 6 cups)
Instructions
Topping
Whisk first 4 ingredients in medium bowl.
Add butter.
Working quickly so butter does not soften, run in with fingertips until moist clumps form.
Stir in oats, almonds, & Aloha From Oregon Crystallized Ginger.
Chill while preparing filling.
Filling
Preheat oven to 350° .
Whisk all ingredients besides pears in large bowl
Add pears; toss.
Transfer to 13x9x2 in. oval baking dish.
Sprinkle with topping over pear mixture.
Bake until topping is crisp & golden brown & juices are bubbling, about 50 minutes.
Serve warm.
