Apple-Nut Pie

  • 1 tbs grated orange peel
  • 1-3/4 cups sugar
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 1/8 tsp salt
  • 2 tbs butter melted
  • 1 double crust pastry pie 9in.
  • 3 cups Aloha From Oregon Apple Nut Chutney


  • In a large bowl, combine Aloha From Oregon Apple Nut Chutney & orange peel. In another bowl, combine sugar, flour, cinnamon, nutmeg, salt; add to chutney mixture & toss. Line a 9 inch pie plate with the bottom crust; add filling. Drizzle with butter. Roll out remaining pastry to fit top of pie. Place over filling; cut slits in top of the crust. Seal & flute edges. Bake at 400° for 45 minutes or until golden brown.
